Have you tried our sustainable glasses from Arden?

Many of us like to do our bit for the planet where we can — whether that’s eating a sustainable diet, travelling more responsibly, or recycling to reduce waste. Being conscious about your eyewear purchases is another way you can minimise your impact on the environment. That’s where our sustainable glasses from Arden come in. Handcrafted from natural and recyclable materials, this stylish collection of eco-friendly glasses enables you to contribute and give back to the environment. Making it easy for you to enjoy a sustainable choice without any compromise on style or quality.

Plus, for every sale, we plant a tree in an area of need around the globe in association with the environmental charity One Tree Planted.

Two pairs of glasses positioned around a wooden branch on a vanilla-coloured background. The frame sitting on the branch has a bold square shape and comes in a pink tortoiseshell colour. The frame positioned in front of the branch is phantos-shaped and clear at the front with tortoiseshell-coloured temples. A few pieces of wheat are visible in one corner of the image.

What materials are Arden glasses made of?

Our earth-friendly Arden frames are crafted from lightweight and durable bio-based acetate. This material is biodegradable and uses 50% less fossil carbon than the typical acetate used for other frames.

These unique designs also have comfortable nose pads made from recyclable Comotech MEM (Medical Eco-Friendly Material). This material requires less energy during the production process.

Meanwhile, the sturdy hinges are constructed from stainless steel. Stainless steel is ultra-sturdy and one of the most recycled materials on the planet.

Every design is finished off with subtle natural wood accents at the temple tips and comes packaged in recyclable materials, including a flexible polybag to hold your frame and a leaflet made from FSC™-certified paper.

Where does the name Arden come from?

One of the most common definitions of Arden is ‘valley of the eagle’ — providing strong links to wildlife and freedom in nature. William Shakespeare’s magical forest in the famous play, As You Like It, is also associated with the name. The brand has a clear root in the theme of nature, as well as in its names and designs.

This collection is home to a fashionable variety of frames which come in vibrant and neutral tones inspired by the beauty of the natural world. By purchasing from the range, you can contribute to future growth with Arden.
